  • Get 1% better every day and don’t worry about titles
  • Grit compounds. The world eventually notices

• Seek truth, not comfort.

  • Find the person who’ll tell you your idea is bad
  • Strong opinions, loosely held. If you’re wrong, change your mind

• Communication is the actual job.

  • The hard part is never the code. It’s explaining what you built and why it matters
  • Clear writing is clear thinking

• Assume good intent.

  • That terse “why not just do X?” on your PR is probably someone trying to help, not dismiss you
  • Lead with empathy. You’ll be right about people more often than you expect
